I was watching TV and liked the HBO ident with the lights coming out from behind a mask…so I reverse engineered my own version from scratch in After Effects using a couple of Trapcode plugins. Changing the way the light behaves and the colors is really easy, if I wanted to duplicate the HBO ident perfectly would be a simple matter. But I like a little artistic variation.
